Vostok public network is operational, and it’s time to outline the roadmap for the upcoming months. And to do another quite important thing :)
Vostok public network is the first attempt to combine the open blockchain ideas with enterprise environment. To stay true to the nature of open blockchains we have launched a public network that runs on VST token. It is an essential part of the ecosystem, with launching corporate subchains being secured by anchoring to the public permissioned chain. Several big projects, that are in the works now, are going to get “anchored” to the Vostok main chain.
VST token serves not only as just a technical native public network token, a new economic model is built upon it. We are implementing a new interaction scenario between product developers, IT integrators and companies that use their products. VST becomes a utility token that, for example, defines the support and SLA agreements terms between Vostok integrator company and companies that use Vostok platform. For example, VST token possession guarantees free support from the Vostok integrator company. More details on the economic model will be revealed in upcoming weeks.
Our technical roadmap for the next months includes finalizing our docker container smart contracts and new consensus mechanism for them, enhanced transaction confidentiality and permission access control. At the same time we’re working on several specific industrial use-cases, which will be packaged in future as separate out-of-the-box products, and will become an essential part of the future Vostok, which will be more about WEB3 and synergy between different technologies, rather then specifically about blockchain.
Another important aspect is the network governance. Public Vostok chain should be managed by a consortium of companies and organizations that benefit from the ecosystem development. Network rules and guidelines are being discussed and finalized now, along with actual projects ...
