The District Weekly — August 24th, 2019
News and updates from the district0x Network
This past week the district0x team published our bi-weekly dev update. One of the Meme Factory updates passed in beta testing was the ability to store vote secrets. Essentially when a vote is cast on a meme, a vote secret is cached on that local browser in order to reveal the vote at a later time. This new ability to store the vote secret allows for the user to upload and reveal their vote secret on a separate device.
The other major update coming to Meme Factory is the parameter change portal. All core parameters will be able to be modified in a voting mechanism similar to how memes are voted on now. These parameters include everything from Meme Deposit quantity, to Meme Challenge Period Duration, as well as Parameter Challenge Period Duration, and all the subsequent Parameter voting types too. In all, there will be 14 parameters that users can modify/vote on.
We’ve also added a Discord Troll Box, which will be launched in the next Meme Factory iteration.
We are still seeking experience solidity developers to perform security audits on our smart contract suite. If you’re interested please check out our job posting on Ethlance, and email your qualifications to firstname.lastname@example.org
